At the age of 32, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
As if that wasn’t enough, I felt stuck and miserable in my job.
It was post 9/11 and the job market was horrible so not only did I feel stuck and stagnant, I felt trapped. How could I change jobs in the middle of a health crisis and put my family under that stress?
It wasn’t like I had a bad job - I made good money, had nice people as business partners, and had lots of flexibility. On the surface, it appeared I had it all.
I felt guilty for being so unhappy.
It was at that time, that I learned 3 important lessons about getting unstuck. And, this has not only worked for me but I’ve also taught thousands of women these same lessons.
These are the lessons that have taken my career from a 7th-grade school teacher to a 7-figure CEO.
